DUTCH Sex Hormone Metabolism

A dried urine test that looks at your sex hormones and how your body breaks them down.

What it measures

21 markers: oestrogens, progesterone and androgens, and the substances your body turns them into.

How it works

A kit is posted to you. You collect urine on small filter-paper strips at set times, let them dry, and post them back. If you still have periods, we will tell you which day of your cycle to test on. Using hormonal contraception or HRT? Tell us before you test, as it changes how some results read.

Your results

Your results come back to the clinic, usually 7 to 10 days after the lab receives your sample. You receive a copy of your report. Delivery is free, and the price includes the kit and the lab fee. A consultation to go through your results and turn them into a plan is separate: book a Women's Health Consultation (30 minutes, longer if you need it, £95).

Who it is for

Women who want to look at their sex hormones in more detail, without the cortisol and sleep markers in the DUTCH Complete.

A test result is one part of the picture. It does not diagnose a condition on its own. If you have symptoms that worry you, please get them checked.
